How it works

From application to the investor feed in about ten days.

Startups go live together in a batch every two weeks, so every new batch gets investors' attention at the same time.

  1. Step 1

    Apply

A short form and a 60–90 second napkin pitch with the founders on camera.

    10 minutes
  2. Step 2

    Get reviewed

We check that you're a real team building something real. We don't judge your idea.

    Within 72 hours
  3. Step 3

    Build your profile

Record five short videos: pitch, product, founders, problem and traction.

    7 days
  4. Step 4

    Go live

Your startup appears in investors' "New this batch" deck on the next drop day.

    Every other Monday
  5. Step 5

    Keep posting

Share what you shipped and what moved. Investors follow the startups that keep showing up.

    1–2 posts a week

Your profile

Five videos that answer what every investor asks first.

They sit at the top of your profile like story highlights. Raw is fine; investors are looking for substance, not editing.

01

Pitch

60–90 sec

The problem, your solution, who it's for, why your team, and whether you're raising.

02

Product

30 sec–3 min

The real product in use: a screen recording, an app walkthrough, or the thing working.

03

Founders

60–90 sec

Every co-founder on camera: your background, why this problem, who does what.

04

Problem

30–90 sec

Your customer's problem, ideally with evidence: a customer clip, a quote, a field visit.

05

Traction

30–90 sec

Numbers with proof on screen. Before revenue, show pilots, waitlists or usage.

Napkin pitch guide

How to record a 60-second pitch video on your phone.

This is the video you apply with. Hold the phone vertically, face the light, and talk the way you would to a smart friend over chai.

  • Founders on camera, own voices. No AI avatars or AI voices; they get rejected.
  • One take is fine. Clear sound matters more than a nice background.
  • Turn captions on. Investors often watch on mute. Hindi, Hinglish and regional languages are welcome with English captions.
  • No slides, no sales links. Show the product in the Product video instead.

What to post each week

Pick a tag, then post. Nobody stares at a blank page.

Every post carries one tag, so investors can filter for what they care about. Progress and Ask posts can be text with an image when you don't have a video.

Questions

Before you apply

Who can apply to Pichyn?

Founders in India, 18 or older, building a startup with something to show: a working product, a prototype, or a landing page with a waitlist. Any sector, any stage from prototype to revenue. Agencies and service businesses aren't accepted during the pilot.

I have no revenue yet. Can I still apply?

Yes. You need something real to show, such as a prototype, a pilot or a waitlist, but revenue isn't required.

Does it cost anything?

No. Pichyn is free for founders and investors during the pilot. If paid plans come later, we'll announce them before they start.

Who can see my videos?

Approved founders and verified investors on Pichyn. Profiles aren't public on the web. During the pilot your videos are hosted as unlisted YouTube videos, so anyone who has a video's direct link could watch it. Investors' comments on your posts are visible only to you.

Is it safe to show my idea?

Every member is reviewed or verified, and nothing is indexed by search engines. Show your product and progress; keep sensitive numbers and documents for private conversations with investors you choose.

What happens if I'm not accepted?

You get specific feedback on what to improve. If something was missing, fix it and resubmit right away. Otherwise you can reapply after 30 days and show what changed.

Can I message investors directly?

Investors start the conversation: they can message you, or super-like your startup to send you a chat request. Once they do, you can reply. You can talk to other founders any time.
